Exclusive Interview: Taapsee Pannu Revealed about the Character Which She Would Love to Get a Spin-Off
Taapsee Pannu-starrer ‘Naam Shabana’ has recently completed 4 years of release. Talking about the movie on this special day, her character ‘Shabana’ from ‘Baby’ turned into the first-since forever character in Bollywood to get a spin off. In a special interview with ETimes, the versatile actress uncovered which different characters of the roles she has played up until now, would she love a spin-offt of. The actress has always loved to play key roles in female oriented movies.
Talking about the spin-offs of her past characters, Taapsee says, ““The films that I have been a part of in Bollywood have very well fleshed out female characters. Most of them tell the stories from a female point of view. I never felt that they need a separate film to tell their story. But if at all I had to choose, I will pick my character in ‘Mulk’, Aarti Mohammed. I would love the audience to know more about her.”
Explaining further, she adds, “That again is an incredible character. How she helped her family was entirely admirable. It was fascinating for me when I was perusing the content. I was interested by her solidarity. The narrative of the film is being told from an outcast’s perspective and not according to the perspective of any character in the film. So it is fascinating to see the spin-off of Aarti Mohammed.”
Looking at being a part of film based on heroine alone, Taapsee asserts, “I think we have a ton of movies like that at this point. In any event I, for one, can’t say anything negative about not getting films that are driven by ladies. I get spoilt regarding decision, in this way, I generally overbook my schedule.”
Talking more about the upcoming professional commitments, she has huge loads of action movies to do after that. I simply needed to ensure I increase current standards with the following film. It ought to be something that takes me higher than what ‘Naam Shabana’ made me do. Really at that time it merits taking in any case there is no point”.
