Veteran actor Dharmendra hospitalized, on the path of recovery

Around four days ago, Dharmendra was admitted to a hospital in South Mumbai. As per the latest reports, he has been moved out of the intensive care unit. His elder son, actor Sunny Deol, visited him today and spent time with him. As per sources, “Dharmendra is doing better now but he will be under observation and will probably be in the hospital for a few more days.”

On the work front, Dharmendra is all tied up with a number of projects including the sequel to 'Apne' (2007), which will reunite him with his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol. The film will also feature his grandson Karan Deol. He is also a part of the Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh-starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani', which is scheduled to release in February 2023. The film marks the reunion of Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan after 48 years after 'Sholay' (1975).

In November last year, Dharmendra shared a picture of his 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' team on his social media page. The photo featured him with Shabana Azmi, Alia, Ranveer, and director Karan Johar. Along with the photograph, he wrote, “ Dosto, pyaar Mohabbat izzat itni milli sab se… pata hi nahin chala main nayi unit ke saath kaam kar raha.”

Dharmendra has been all praise for the young brigade of stars Alia and Ranveer. In a candid interview with TOI, he had said, “Ranveer looks so natural in all his films. Bada hi pyaara ladka hai (He is such an adorable boy). Whenever we bump into each other at a function, woh aake mere paas baith jaata hai (he sits beside me). Likewise, Alia is also brilliant at her work.”
