Kamal Haasan starrer 'Vikram' set to break Rajinikanth's 'Annaatthe' box office collection record.

Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram' has been gaining momentum both online and offline as the film was released today, and receiving thunderous responses. The action thriller has garnered positive reviews, and is predicted to break Rajinikanth's 'Annaatthe' box office record collection for day 1. With houseful shows both in the morning and afternoon, 'Vikram' has sold out more than 90% of screens for the evening and night shows too. On day 1, the film is expected to gross around Rs 29 to 30 crores in TN, which will be slightly higher than the 2021 Diwali release of Rajinikanth's 'Annaatthe'. While as per trade analysts, the worldwide collection for day 1 is expected to be over Rs 40 crores. 

'Vikram' will be restarting the box office war between Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth as the former's last few films didn't fare as well as expected. Although we have to wait to see, how the film operates moving forward with weekends and no big releases. However, 'Vikram' will be Kamal Haasan's biggest box office hit for sure, and the multi-language release will help the film achieve a grand mark easily.
