Ayan Mukerji Planning to Make Film on ‘Jalastra’ and ‘Vanarastra’ Too: Exclusive Report Out!

Ayan Mukerji is doing great! His most recent directorial 'Brahmastra' has struck gold in the cinematic world and he is as of now dealing with future spin offs and sequels to the sci-fi drama. Ayan has amazing plans, as far as the ‘Brahmastra’ franchise is concerned. With the film clocking over Rs 300 crore in the cinematic world, Ayan has chosen to investigate the Astraverse with seperate films based on 'Jalastra' and 'Vanarastra', reports India Today.

These side projects will investigate the beginning of the astras and will apparently highlight Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor as well. 'Brahmastra' was planned as a trilogy and the subsequent part is supposedly named 'Brahmastra: Part Two - Dev'. 

Talking about what's the future films from the franchise, Ayan had previously said, the entire trilogy will tell the same story but the next movies will introduce new characters and bring new perspectives to the Brahmastra story." Talking about the huge success of 'Brahmastra', Ranbir Kapoor had said, “I feel the overwhelming love from the audience for the film is the biggest Brahmastra we have. I am extremely happy and proud, for receiving these reactions. I really want to say thank you to every fan and viewer from the bottom of my heart. I think, this is a great movie to bring the audience back to cinemas. This is all we needed. People with displaying their emotions, getting entertained, laughing and clapping – this is what cinema is all about.”
