Kartik Aaryan’s First Big Collaboration with Anurag Basu for ‘Aashiqui 3’

The dashing actor Kartik Aaryan is all set to work for the big Bollywood sequel ‘Aashiqui 3’! The hitmaker has finally bagged the role and signed up for the most heart-wrenching sequel. Since a long time several Bollywood biggies have been associated with this much awaited film but Kartik finally got it. The third part will be directed by Anurag Basu, while the makers are yet to reveal details about the film’s leading actress. Sharing this big news on social media Kartik wrote, "This one is going to be Heart-wrenching !! My First with Basu Da."

He further said, “The timeless classic ‘Aashiqui’ is something I grew up watching and working on ‘Aashiqui 3’ is like a dream come true. I feel privileged yet grateful collaborating with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt for this opportunity. I’ve been a big fan of Anurag Basu’s work and collaborating with him on this one will definitely shape me in many ways.”

Aashiqui’ was first released in 1990 starring Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal and was directed by Mahesh Bhatt. The whole story plot & the songs of the movie continue to rule hearts. . In 2013, the franchise was followed up with Mohit Suri helmed ‘Aashiqui 2’ starring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur. This too was a superhit at box office. Earlier there was buzz that Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt will be seen playing the key roles but the film never went on floors. The makers of ‘Aashiqui 3’ have joined hands with Pritam to weave magic with the film’s iconic music. Kartik Aaryan recently started shooting for another romantic outing, ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ with Kiara Advani. He also has ‘Shehzada’, 'Freddy' and ‘Captain India’ in the pipeline.
